Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs at Boys Town National Research Hospital

Deepak Madhavan, M.D., joined Boys Town National Research Hospital in May 2019. Throughout his tenure, he has held key leadership roles, including Executive Medical Director of the Pediatric Neuroscience Initiative. In his current role as Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs, Dr. Madhavan plays in integral role in patient safety initiatives, accreditation activities, strategic planning and physician recruitment and retention.

Dr. Madhavan received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his neurology residency and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He completed fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and in epilepsy – both at New York University.

In addition to the industry leadership he provides through his role at Boys Town Pediatric Neuroscience, Dr. Madhavan has long served as an advocate for the epilepsy community throughout the state of Nebraska. He previously founded an epilepsy-focused nonprofit to assist with the social needs of patients affected by epilepsy.
