Spring into parenthood with a week of education on everything newborn!
New and expecting parents are invited to join Boys Town Pediatrics for a week of virtual education sessions and an in-person workshop, covering a variety of topics and tips to prepare for the newest addition to the family.
Live presentations from Boys Town Pediatricians will be available every day on Facebook at noon CST starting Monday, April 7th through Friday, April 11th, and the week caps off with our In-Person Newborn Care Workshop, where parents and caregivers can practice skills like infant CPR, swaddling, diapering and more.
Plus, there will be prizes throughout the week! Enter to win two daily prizes by participating in our education sessions. At the end of the week, one lucky registrant will win our grand prize: a newborn photo session with Nikki McLeay Photography.

Join Boys Town Pediatricians and community organizations for a free workshop focusing on everything newborn! You'll receive hands-on training and education resources, mingle with local companies and enjoy healthy snacks and sweet treats as you prepare for your newest addition.

Please note that this event is intended for caretakers only. On-site childcare will not be provided.
Sessions will include:
- Infant first-aid with the Boys Town Fire Department
- Car seat installation and travel safety with Safe Kids Douglas County
- Creating a baby-safe environment at home with Nebraska Regional Poison Center
- Basic baby skills, including burping, nose suctioning, holding techniques, breastfeeding and more with Nurture Omaha
This event features concurrent sessions and may require attendees to change rooms at least once. While it's not designed as a "come and go" event, we understand life's demands and encourage you to attend around your schedule.
