Twelve nurses from Boys Town National Research Hospital were honored at the Positive Image of Nursing breakfast on Saturday, May 2 at the Scott Conference Center. This annual event, hosted by the Nebraska Nurses Association (NNA), recognizes nurses for their commitment and dedication to their profession. The nurses are nominated by their peers for their excellence in nursing.
“Being a nurse at Boys Town Hospital has given me the opportunity to be a part of a team that prioritizes patients and staff through strong teamwork and a family-centered culture,” Miranda Zimmer, RN, said when asked about being a nurse at Boys Town. “I appreciate that our safe staffing ratios allow us to combine the art and science of nursing to provide individualized, compassionate care and help families feel genuinely supported.”
Maddie Egan, RN, shared, “Receiving this award is such an honor and blessing. It’s always been a goal of mine to be a trusted caregiver and safe person for the kiddos in the hospital.
